Along the way to hand tools I had accumulated my idea of a sharpening system. Shapton Stones, Veritas Honing guides and other required stuff. I felt that I was on my way to really sharp tools with a technique that I have created after watching many demonstrations and reading lots of articles.
One part of this is to use exactly the same technique each time and the process should be somewhat easy to repeat. At Woodworking in America 2011 I saw Chris Schwarz using a tray to hold all of his sharpening paraphernalia. So that made sense.
